Pros

Bare minerals are generous with products and gifts. Training is always good. Look after you well.

Cons

Once you have a baby - career over. Was business manager. When I left to go on maternity leave I felt like I was getting the sack not leaving to have a baby. No good luck, no card nothing. No contact with the company until my baby was 8 months old and only then as I contacted them to see what was happening about my return to work. I couldnt return full time, therefore was told I could not return as manager - would have to be part time but they werent sure if they could offer the hours. Also wasnt allowed to return to the store I was working in so had to return to a different department store. My pay was dropped to little over minimum wage and I had a lady from a different cosmetic counter come in as my manager. Rotas were messed up and I ended up working 4 full days a week. I told them if I had wanted full time I would of returned as manager and been paid alot more! Decided to leave and look after my children full time. It was a shame as I loved my job but just wasnt the same when I returned.

Pros

Wonderful products, great discount. That is all.

Cons

If Leslie only knew how the company has changed since Miles took over as CEO. The pay structure is well below what other companies pay for the same job functions. They forced the field to go to a flat rate auto allowance that got taxed then changed it back to mileage after many drove thousands of miles a month. Now they are getting pennies compared to what the federal guidelines require. There is absolutely no work/life balance. The field team works 10-15 hours a day between events and driving then spends their saturday nights after working events all day doing reports that take an additional 2 hours each night. The Company gave out no raises in 2009 but sold out to Shisedo for millions of dollars. Bare Escentuals is a very greedy company and ONLY to the higher ups in corp make money. Its truly sad how corporate they have become. the days of the 'girlfriend" brand are gone Leslie. If you only knew. It's only about the almighty dollar now. They had such a great thing going. They took the wrong turn. Very unfortunate. They are currently trying to make Forbes top 100 companies to work for. They sent out a corp survey last year before things got as bad as they are now, and saw they are NO WHERE close to ever getting there. If they were to ask again now, they wold get an even worse response

Pros

Good discount and allocation. Great products you can trust.

Cons

No growth same people in same positions after 5 years even with growth every year. Small counters just left. Can never get hold of anyone higher up. Feel ignored sometimes.
