Pros

The only pros I feel is worth posting at this point is the discount you get on the product and making your own schedule.

Cons

You have no life outside of BE On your days off expect to be on conference calls. Your DM call you regarding the business(again, on your day off). Can't even get off for a death in the family(was basically told things happen). Your micro-managed! The word manager is irrelevant. I was always worried to even go to the bathroom so I didn't miss a call from the DM and got questioned for leaving the area. Paper work! Paper work! Paper work all day long! I rather be more focused on spending time with the customer than worried about meeting deadlines! Isn't that the BE focus? The girlfriend atmosphere? Doesn't feel like it what so ever. No communication between BE and Department store. Your pretty much on your own. And if anything goes wrong the finger is pointed at you. There are NO drinks allowed at your area. Not even water? Ridiculous! Your expected to promote the business and advertise on a daily basis! This is NOT our job! There would be no need for such things at the counter if the company was exclusive and not all over the place(Sephora, Ulta, TV). Goals way too high to achieve. When made the monthly goal always asked why we didn't exceed over.

Pros

The one and only good reason to work at Bare Escentuals are receiving discounts on their skin care products.

Cons

The downsides of working at Bare Escentuals is the poor leadership that the company provides, the lack of respect towards their employees, not wanting to offer better wages, health benefits to those who work more than 32hours. Overall the company is cheap and does not take care of their own employees.

Pros

- Most of the clients/customers are pleasant. - Incredible, generous employee discount. - Fun atmosphere to work in.

Cons

- Being treated with hostility for taking a sick day despite having a doctor's note in hand. - No incentive or rewards for a job well done. - Being talked down to from management, is the norm. - Clueless managers who know less about the brand than most customers... - No promoting from within, despite the company claiming otherwise. - Requesting a day off for family events or doctor appointments is met with overly invasive questions, hostility and attitude (nevermind that the managers take all the days off they want for their own lives). - Managers follow an unwritten but strict "do as I say, not as I do" policy about everything from bathroom use to days off -- and everything in between. - Personal friends of management are hired then promoted, regardless of experience or credentials (or lack thereof).
