      Pros

      They send salary regurarily until you are in the game.

      Cons

      No concept from higher level decision makers, always changing priorities. No clarity, and no transparency and especially they don't treat their employees nicely. Overtime is expected and not compensated with anything.

To clarify, our annual business priorities are set and communicated between Q4 and Q1. It did not change in 2024. However, much like the flexibility we offer our customers to adapt to changing markets, evolving customer needs, and their own growth, we also pivot in how we achieve those goals to make sure that we’re staying competitive and aligned with the needs of our business. On transparency, we make it a priority to share the full picture — the good, the bad, and even the ugly — through monthly updates on our financials, products, and operations. Beyond simply communicating these updates, we’re committed to creating opportunities for employees to share their questions, concerns, and feedback. Whether it’s through our monthly All Hands AMAs, bi-weekly anonymous surveys, or other channels, your voice matters in shaping how we move forward. In fact, we’ve made several adaptations to how we communicate our updates based on commercetooler’s feedback. Ultimately, we’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t reflect the flexibility and transparency we aim for.       Good company to work for, but no accountability for managers whatsoever

      Pros

      It’s a good place to work, with many amazing, respectful, and knowledgeable people. Many envision staying their entire careers because the environment is quite positive, but there's a catch.

      Cons

      There is a lack of accountability for managers, and this directly influences the company culture, an opinion shared by many. In my case, a sudden change in team management completely altered my experience, despite consistently delivering strong outcomes. I believe the new manager had a personal issue with me. My goal was always to perform well and maintain autonomy in my work, but when this manager took over, every detail was micromanaged. I no longer had the space to make decisions or think independently, as everything had to align with their vision, which was often flawed. I strongly feel the tension was personal rather than job-related. I reached out to upper management for support, but there was no avenue for resolution. Despite my history of positive performance reviews, I was left to handle the situation alone. This ultimately led to my decision to leave. At commercetools, I encountered the worst manager of my career, which is particularly disappointing given my experience working with many skilled, qualified, and authentic leaders in the past. In conversations with former colleagues, several shared similar experiences with this manager, reinforcing my belief that the issue was not unique to me.

      Good company that changed a lot overtime

      Cons

      Management is very unorganised. Employees are getting fired without proper reason. No accountability for your manager and management wont see it. Had 1 round of big sudden layoffs where people were fired in 10 mins and their computers went blank.
