Pros

job security, great work timings, you can retire for life. amazing beer parties even when UK was in recession, the funding for India beer parties didnt stop.

Cons

more budget allocated to beer parties than to R&R, even quarterly "awards" are citations on a piece of paper. The only way to get noticed and therefore promoted is by keeping the boss happy. If the bosses were smart people, this wouldnt be the problem. You are advised to talk only to people above you - as this is the way to get noticed, apparantly. Directors are insecure about their jobs since they have 2 to 5 yrs of corporate experience.
