Pros

Wage is at par for other call center environments. Two years ago, employees were happy and they were the "next stop" up from garbage outsourced call centers, but now they are just miserable.

Cons

Impossible to maintain metrics once you are failing. QC is once a week, when you need to have 8 QC's passing in a week to just meet metrics which never happens. Too many sources of metrics makes it easy for management to terminate employees for not meeting just one of them. Not allowed to actually help eBay members, repeatedly told to provide intentionally useless email responses and just send them out as fast as possible. Outsourced help in the Philippines sending out useless messages or routing things back wastes time.

Pros

not sure what that would be. it looks good on a resume.

Cons

shady people, business was a bit shady, many people in it for their own good and not the good of company. Thus people use it as a name building tool

Pros

Many of the people who work at eBay are the brightest and best in the industry. If you want to network with others who understand how it all works, you might want to consider eBay.

Cons

eBay no longer seems to respect the people who helped build the company. There are too many "young turks" with MBAs and an appalling lack of creativity all working from the exact same playbook. eBay management does not listen to the members or staff. Disruptive innovation is disruptive and almost never innovative. True innovation is buried until someone with seniority can claim it as an original idea. 10+ meetings a week is ridiculous.
