Pros
Fun environment that you can wear jeans and a T-shirt to work everyday. In first year of sales you can easily make 60k-80k. You are able to feel good about helping people protect their families and still make good money doing it. They pay for all your licensing.
Cons
The training period is actually a position you need to work yourself out of. You could be in "training" for one month (if they like you and you're already licensed) or up to 4 or 5 months I've seen sometimes. There are no metrics on getting promoted, they only tell you "keep you numbers up" which is basically saying, "we'll get to you when we get to you". There is favoritism and politics in terms of things people get away with but if you keep you head down, do your job, and don't get caught up in any of the drama, you can make some good money.
