      eGain was doing well until it bought out companies with products outside the scope of its expertise.

      Pros

      Smart people, enthusiastic employees, interesting projects, and generous bonuses. Comfortable surroundings with few distractions, and many opportunities to learn new skills and technologies.

      Cons

      Upper management weak, middle management not supervised well. The overall intent of management is good, but they need to improve communications between groups and departments and improve product their line.

      Can't think of a single pro

      Cons

      You will only succeed based on your relationships. There are no growth opportunities at egain. Salary if laughable in the bay area and promotions are non existing. The in-office requirement is depressing and when the CEO is around the area turns frighting. Most of the workers are Indian so there is zero culture. You will do the job of many in this company. I would never recommend this company, even to my enemies. AVOID!

      Pros

      Kaiser for Medical. Work from home twice a week. Day off on your birthday.

      Cons

      Bonus. Will work nights and still have to come into work in the morning. Work/life balance will be affected. Rarely make a profit on the employee stock purchase plan (espp), if any.
