1) Work Culture:
Management writing fake positive reviews are right. Only people who have no self esteem and can works as slaves will only fit in this company. This is NOT a product company. They portray themselves as Product Company, but in reality, it is worse that consultancy. Micro-management will be done at every step. You are never supposed to ask any questions about ethics, policies or rules in the company. There are no policies when it comes to benefit of employees. There are only policies that favors management like vacation etc which is bare minimum. Rest for everything, every manager will make rule on the fly and will differ across all the employees. No matter how much you work, it will be never enough for the management. Don’t ask management for any leave. Even if you fall sick, it will be deducted from your PTO which is very very less. If you want to work from home, it will also be treated as PTO, no matter you have worked or not. Management is really unprofessional. Anyone who is leaving the company is treated really badly. They don’t even give farewell to the person who has worked for number of years at their company. Come on managers, you have to realize that you also left some workplace before and joined embedUR.
2) Work Quality:
It is a service based company where you work as contractor, so you can imagine the quality of work. All the projects they have, contains work which big company employees don’t want to do, so they give this kind of work to companies like embedUR. Mainly the projects they get are maintenance and bug fixing projects. And then, managers just want to get work done without caring about work quality.
3) Career:
There is no room to grow. Infact, they don’t have any proper promotion policy in place. There are just 2 positions, software engineer and managers. All the managers have titles which does not really justify their type of work they do on regular basis. You can see some people from upper management of company working as contractors. As other negative review also says, they will never give any kind of training and will expect you to do wonders in front of customers. All the work is mainly application level bug fixing where you will learn nothing.
4) Work Ethics:
Management has no work ethics when it comes to working on projects and put you in front of customer. They will often make you work on multiple projects at same time without telling the client. Customers never even get to know till the end who has done the real work. They also do few illegal Visa things which a reputed company will never do.
5) Office Ambiance:
Office looks really old. I would suggest anyone coming for interview or about to accept offer, please for once, walk around their office and then make your decision. Don't just accept offer over the phone.
