Pros

The job is remote and you get a paycheck.

Cons

It was good until it wasn’t. This is no longer the same company that I joined everything changes for the worst week by week. Depending on who your manager is and what department you are in will shape your experience in this company. Nothing is consistent in each department and the rules can be bent in your favor or against it. If things are against your favor prepare to be isolated, siloed, and held to a different arbitrary expectation than everyone else. In my opinion, that’s why it’s getting harder to switch departments. You can only switch if your manager supports you.

Pros

Few by this point. Some ICs.

Cons

Once upon a time, ezCater prided itself on bucking tech industry trends. Rather than being one of the thousands of cookie cutter Silicon Valley companies, it placed an emphasis on treating its people well and DEI. The company had a personality. The good treatment of its employees and empathetic leadership helped create good customers and partners on both sides of the business. To this day, this remains the foundation of the business. Fast forward 3 years and the remaining shell shocked employees have watched this once great company be systematically dismantled by a group of arrogant executives. The thing is, what made ezCater great also made our customers succeed. Frankly, in 2026, ezCater takes our restaurant partners and corporate customers for granted and squeeze as much as we can out of them while the value we provide drops like a stone. The other points on PTO as stated in other reviews are also totally valid. It also feels like people operations and HR has been weaponized against employees. Poor restructuring decisions have indeed reduced the wage bill, but they have caused chaos internally and nobody is able to focus on their jobs. I will leave this to hang. Companies that treat their employees, partners and customers badly and gaslight them, do not deserve success.
