Pros
The culture and the caliber of the team are second to none. The company is 100% virtual (everyone works from their home office), so you wouldn't necessarily expect a great culture to be at the top of the pros list, but it is. It comes from the top down - this firm truly values its people, from support staff up through Partner. The firm promotes a freedom and flexibility culture - it's real and strongly encouraged. Performance expectations are high, there is no sitting back and gliding here, but the leadership team really does stress the importance of work/life balance and taking care of yourself and your family. Great place to work.
Cons
It’s still very much an entrepreneurial environment, which isn’t for everyone. If you’re coming from a large corporation with well-established processes, lots of support resources, etc. this will feel very different. While the culture is great, working from home can be isolating. The firm does a great job at getting folks together – both virtually and in-person through summits three times a year – but if you’re a person who derives a lot of energy from daily in-person interactions with colleagues, this will be a big adjustment.
