Pros

You get to use the latest technology. Because the teams are small you get to wear many hats and grow much faster than at a bigger company. You have much more opportunity for design choices and your choices directly affect the end product.

Cons

Poor planning by management. Random deadlines get dumped on developers and are expected to work extra to pull it off. Developers are the ones who support production, 24/7

Pros

- Business scale is growing rapidly and steadily so as the team size. The surplus in the operational income allows for more room to invest in both people and technologies. Being part of the process, every team members, if they keen to learn, can grow their skills and career at various levels. - The compensation & benefit are competitive in the market - Work life balance condition is very subjective to the service reality of respective teams. For my team, a 24x7 SLA need to be honored, so sometimes it'll be challenging, when urgent issues occur in the mid of night. Generally, the culture of encouraging employees to work overtime doesn't exist in the company.

Cons

- Turnover rate is a bit high. There will be room to improve the employee development plan, through which employees can obtain the vision what they are in next couple years and how they can attain.
