Pros

Good pay, good benefits, easy job.

Cons

Obvious favoritism!!! No communication. They had a ball for everyone and they totally separated the warehouse employees from office employees, gave away great prizes but guess to who? The workers on the warehouse floor are the ones that work the hardest, they are the ones that keep this company moving. A warehouse employee starts at 11.00 an hour a secretary that takes phone calls all day 16.00. Oh and no A/C it's a "controlled" environment in the warehouse, when your sitting yes it's comfortable but not when your working, moving, lifting.. Etc

We are pleased that you like the pay and benefits at iHerb. iHerb is one of the very few Distribution Center’s in the Inland Empire that offer a climate controlled environment. iHerb prides itself on its numerous communication channels including: CCTV, company newsletter, team member meetings, and team member events, etc. We are not sure what you mean by the ‘ball’, but if you are referring to the Holiday event that took place in late January, this was a well-attended event by both warehouse and administrative team members. All team members who attended had their names entered into all of the major raffles. In addition, only warehouse team members were entered into a separate raffle based on the iRock incentive plan. We respect and appreciate all of our team members’ contributions.

Pros

Nice Owner who cares about employees and takes the time to listen. Free drinks and Fruit. Most employees are great hardworking people.

Cons

HR does not take the time to listen to employee issues. Especially when they are with one of the horrible Middle Eastern Directors who take micro management to a whole new level. You say you want to hire "the best employees who have years of experience in the field" yet when you bring them in you micro manage them to the point that it is a hostile and stressful work environment. Before I left I spoke with several people (management and non-management) who shared the same feelings and want out as well.

While the HR team is happy to hear that the pay was good while you worked at iHerb, we are sorry that you had a negative experience with a supervisor. HR takes all complaints seriously. Our Viewpoint Program was developed specifically so that managers could hear suggestions from all team members, and we mandate that the managers respond to each person. In addition, HR has an “Open Door” policy in which any team member can confidentially express a concern.
