Good Learning Experience, Terrible Ownership

Pros

-Good environment to learn basic skills in PC repair, web development, and/or sales. -Great co-workers. -Is somehow still going in the right direction. -Josh is holding the place together.

Cons

- Be prepared to be yelled at, in front of everyone, like you're a child. - Do not disagree with Steve, or your life will be hell. - Always be ready for his occasional punch to the kidney when you're on the phone with a customer, because it happens all the time. - Be prepared to do random jobs that they don't want to hire for, like cleaning, helping build the place, moving the entire store. - Expected to pay out of pocket expenses for all equipment, IE screwdrivers, solder, screw trays. - Bring whatever software you want that you think would help fix customers PCs. - Don't expect to sit during the day, or get a lunch or break. You work 8 hours straight, standing, eating lunch with everyone else at your workspace. If you're lucky you can crap twice a day. - Get ready to have massive turnaround in co-workers. During my 4 year tenure I saw no less than a dozen people come and go, mostly because they couldn't deal with Steve thinking he was God. Some of these people were heads of departments, running servers, service, and web development. - Get ready to have your personal life brought up in front of everyone, including customers, as Steve has no issue yelling at the top of his lungs about it. -Don't expect to have any kind of raise/review. They only give raises if you start taking on more work, not for doing your job better than anyone else.

It's a cult.

Pros

The people who love it speak of nothing but winning for their clients and growing with the business. “Make your clients money so you can make more money, support your family and retire successful.” The people that buy-in have a different experience than the people who don’t. Each pay raise is directly attributed to your ability to make the business more money – either because you’re doing the work of 2 people or you’re quantifiably making your clients (and thus iNET) more money.

Cons

Material comforts are sacrificed for ever-increasing employee payroll. They constantly make jokes about stacking cubicles on top of each other while they expand the building again. The people not in the cult burn-out quickly – an environment that worships the twin gods of productivity and results is not gentle. People who are looking for explanations, orientation, and meetings tend to hate the taste of water-filled lungs when they realize they’ve been thrown in the pool to find out if they can swim.

Pros

I started in 2008 shortly after my deployment in Iraq. When I got home I was stunned at how much the economy has changed. My previous employer shrunk substantially and put me in a pretty tough situation. While looking for another job Steve gave me a shot when other potential employers wouldn’t. I took the opportunity and hit the ground running and am very successful because of it. I got called up on another deployment in 2010 and came back in 11. Steve, Kurt, Jim, Josh and the whole iNET crew went above and beyond for me when I got back. On top of throwing a party and a surprise bonus check. Everyone dedicated there time to make sure my transition back to work was smooth. I have seen this company grow from 20 to 80 people 2 of them are fellow Vets I served with. I made great friends here at iNET they are like my brothers. This job is very challenging you will be pushed beyond what you think your capabilities are. In the end when you see what you produced the reward is well worth the effort. The negative reviews you see here are from employees that don’t see the big picture. iNET has high expectations of our employees because iNET is committed to delivering the absolute best for our clients. Our customers are INVESTING in iNET to make them money we take that responsibility very seriously. If you are driven and deliver results, you will be highly praised and your pay will reflect the work put in. If you want to skate your way through work and life iNET is not the place for you.

Cons

Because of the amount of growth iNET is experiencing production can be a little slow at times. Conference room for phone meetings would be awesome.

Pros

I've been able to foster and polish my technical Internet-based skills, from creating new websites to improving existing ones. While some workdays are long and grueling, (just like any other job I've have) iNET creates a friendly, family-like atmosphere. Additionally, pay is very competitive and the possibilities of advancement are almost endless. Job accountability is as follow (in order): (1) Accountability to your clients then (2) accountability to iNET. iNET is a very ethical company; I've left jobs in the past due to unethical behavior. Ethical companies are very hard to find, so kudos to iNET for that.

Cons

Small workstations make for a cramped work-space, but I think it's being addressed. Large workload takes a little while to get used to.

Pros

- Decent Pay - Decent Benefits (Health, etc.)

Cons

- High turn over: People don't stay long because it's such a toxic place to work - Complaining: Most of the people I know that work here complain about it outside of the office - Management: Don't really seem to care for what the employees know and only really reward people who kiss their butt. - No direct deposit: What is this, 1990?

Pros

Umm... They have to legally pay you and most of the co workers are genuinely good people. Other than that. Drawing a blank...

Cons

Its a great place to work if you... 1.Like getting Screamed at Before anything has the possibility of going wrong. 2.Being called out in meetings to be made a fool in front of your co workers without justification. 3.The office is Full of BS Politics. (If you're not ready to kiss the bosses feet then you get pushed out the door.) 4. The Managements Theory on dead weight in the office is to not Fire anyone. They just torment you with harassment and verbal abuse until you quit. So they DON'T have to pay unemployment. 5.There is definitely an Elitist structure here. 6. The employee turnover rate is the fastest I've ever seen. In one of the years I counted there I saw at least an average of 2 per month. 7.No Direct Deposit because the "company is too Cheap" 8. The Tech department is a total Fire hazard. They work on Customers computers on temporary Saw horse tables with raw unfinished wood and Eat there Lunches over the Computers. Its a horror show. 9. No Break Room. Just a hallway with a nook and that's it. 10.No Heating in the Men's bathroom. In winter this is a Big issue. 11. Oh and last time I was there they canceled our simple Roth IRA. So bye bye retirement. (When they cut it the CEO of the company sent a letter with a paragraph explaining how this is the opportunity to invest in real estate and how that's the way to build a future. I think the people in 2009 who lost their house to the market crash will beg to differ). 12. A Grey environment. Limited natural lighting. Inconsistent Climate control. 13.Cheap Second hand office furniture. 14. People are not getting payed based on the amount of experience they have. Yet a percentage of Sales people are clearing 6 figures. If you get hired here. My advice is to Keep your job options open. There are a few people who are long timers but the look on there faces should indicate how this place treats their employees. Dealing with management is a different account. My advice is Just Stay away.
