Pros

I enjoyed my time at iSoftStone in Kirkland. The new office is nice, and they often have fun group activities and training exercises. They got me some interesting web services projects for some big name companies. The people and work environment are quite pleasant.

Cons

I had a great manager who unfortunately left the company, and then another one who was decent but not proactive at all. Perhaps some of the other middle management are strong, but that's not what I saw.

Pros

You do not need any experience for this position and they will only hire if you live in the United States. They post job Ads on Indeed and Craigslist. They pay once a month via direct deposit working only 25hr per week, $12/hr.

Cons

You have no one to guide you and they won't talk to you about the materials you need. They will hand you a site to watch videos and read guidelines and they send it in a way as if you are wasting their time and tell you other people want this position. Training is completely on your own. There is a toolbar you will need to use with Internet Explorer and it has bugs. No one answers your emails or questions regarding your training or the job position.

Hello, thank you for your review of iSoftStone's worldwide services/crowd-sourced positions. One of the benefits of working online is that you are able to build your own hours and create a flexible schedule that fits your needs and essentially go at your own pace. We're sorry to hear that there was a lack of communication around the guidelines for the tasks you were completing. To put it in perspective, our online crowdsourcing pool is made up of around 30,000+ individuals. As you can imagine, sometimes there can be gaps in communication, which is something we are continually looking to improve. In general, we try to make our online jobs as self service as possible by providing all the documentation and letting individuals understand the requirements and go at their own pace. Ultimately crowdsourcing is a great fit for some wanting more flexibility but it is not necessarily a good fit for everyone. However, I do want to encourage you to continue checking our website regularly, as we are always posting new positions that may be a better fit for your needs! Pros

iSoftStone has been the catalyst for my career, really helping me grow into my current position, after working on multiple projects and in different departments throughout the company. The environment here is extremely welcoming and warm, without the stiff atomosphere you'd find at other consulting companies. There is a lot of cross collaboration and some pretty cool opportunities to learn new things if you express interest.

Cons

When you are on project and have to work outside the iSoftStone office. The space on Lake Washington is beautiful
