CEO who Cared More About his Image Than His Employees

Pros

I was content with the salary as it allowed me to maintain a reasonable work-life balance.

Cons

The CEO was an arrogant and incompetent man who was more interested in self-promotion than in the company's success. He constantly micromanaged everyone, and he was quick to blame his subordinates for his own mistakes. The work environment was toxic, and I felt like I was constantly walking on eggshells. I hated coming to work every day, and I knew that had to get out of there as soon as possible. He was constantly harping on about how we needed to "protect the brand" t all costs. This meant that we were forbidden from speaking negatively about the company, even if it was true. We were also forced to attend endless "brand training" sessions, where we were lectured about the importance of maintaining a positive imagine.

Pros

There was a culture of respect here. People admired each other's abilities and were quite open and friendly with their colleagues.

Cons

As people don't watch much TV these days, the company's growth is very murky. I didn't see a future here clearly so I started looking for another job and luckily found me.

Pros

The money was ok. Benefits could have been better. No room to grow unless you were a bro.

Cons

I was at the company for just over 2 years and saw 2 rounds of layoffs. So if wondering if you are going to get laid off each year is something you look for in a company, this is your place. Most production management are uneducated and have old boys club attitude. They also do not reward employees who go above and beyond. I would not recommend this employer unless you can just ignore all the stupidity here.
