Pros

impact.com has some strong points—solid products, impressive clients, and a company culture that appears supportive from the outside. There’s definitely potential here, and you’ll find some smart, passionate people to work with.

Cons

Unfortunately, the reality doesn’t always match the messaging. There’s a lot of talk about developing people internally, but in practice, opportunities for real growth are limited. The environment feels unstable—people are let go without clear reasons, and often without due process. One day you're working with them - next day you are not. It creates a culture of fear, where trying something new or taking initiative feels risky rather than encouraged. There’s also a sense that internal politics and favouritism play a bigger role than they should in decision-making. Even teams that should be focused on employee development are frequently the ones delivering layoffs, even in their own team. It results in a lack of psychological safety and confusion about what the business actually values or expects from its employees.
