Pros

Wonderful yoga/workout class benefits, employee discount, health insurance, entrepreneurial spirit and freedom to make the job what you want it to be. Ability to grow within the company because of high turnover due to employees following their goals and dreams, as well as many locations and positions.

Cons

Their culture of feedback should mean that you are free to give feedback to others around you, and that is what they preach, but often times management doesn't like what you have to say to them and that can hurt you in the long run, whether it be in a performance review, when it's time for promotion, etc. It's one of the companies with the highest turnover because people are following their goals, but that means many new employees all the time, and not many who stay for the long term. Many complaints from team members that they don't like the culture, management, and the way things are run. Hiring decisions don't always make sense. The people in the store manager and regional manager roles aren't always the best fit, and it is very apparent that some are incompetent at their jobs. If you find a manager you like, stay at that location because a great store manager is hard to find. Long training process, so if you aren't in it for the long-term, this isn't the right job for you.

Cons

they say there is room for growth but its a very slow process because a lot of people are comfortable in their positions - benefits are not great, no paid family leave - hard for working moms

Pros

core values, working with like-minded people, ability to support people with their goals

Cons

ASM's & SM's are not paid competitive rates and they do not take into mind what it actually costs to live in New York compared to the hourly rate they offer. One regional manager once said "if money is what you care about then this may not be the job for you". Last I checked you need money to survive and no one is asking to be paid $100 an hour ...
