Turn over rate is very high. And for good reasons.
Pros
- A lot of great people who care a lot and are trying their best despite what limited (outdated and barely functional) resources are provided to them. - Gorgeous view. - Reasonable commute if an early shift. - Fun company events. - If you like having zero structure this is the job for you!
Cons
- Pay is better than retail, BUT it is still very underpaid and wages are unfair. - Resources are poor. Most are heavily outdated so information is wrong and unhelpful. - Systems are faulty and slow making getting tasks done, even the simple ones, very inefficient. - Communication from management is EXTREMELY poor. When communication is given, it is very passive aggressive and condescending. Any question or concern you have will never be taken seriously unless you ask several times or even resort to pulling in the CEO's. Often times even that is pointless. - Proper training is non-existent. When I had began, the training was excellent but it has heavily deteriorated in the years since. Most people who begin don't even know how to do the simplest of tasks due to management caring more about having a body in the seat rather than making sure its newer employees are well equipped and prepared. - Speaking of equipped, not everyone even has the equipment to do their jobs. They are expected to borrow the equipment of others when the actual users are not in office. - Quantity of work is far more valued than quality. You WILL be expected to overwork and get little to no compensation for it. - No proper structure whatsoever. - Movement up in the company is unclear. You will be given all the duties and expectations of a higher position with very little warning but most importantly, without the "official title" so they can get away with not providing the proper pay that comes with it. - I would continue but it would begin to become almost as unprofessional as the management. Watch "The Office" and imagine working with the character Micheal Scott. Except in reality, it's not hilarious.
