I was there during a time of great change. Companies were bought, fit into the overall schema, changes in management structure and goals. Then layoff.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I’m very pleased to read that you were happy about the benefits you received while working at Edge, as well as the salary and friendly co-workers. We take a lot of pride in our positive company culture and opportunities for all employees. It’s true that mthree/Wiley Edge has had organizational change due to the 2020 acquisition, consolidation with other business units, and now the potential divestiture. However, Wiley takes many steps to provide care for employees through these kinds of organizational changes. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors, and please do feel free to reach out should you have any other feedback or concerns you’d like to discuss. Hello, I hope you are doing well. Are you referring to the full-time training we offer to candidates? We do pay candidates a stipend while in training, and this is before we receive any compensation from our clients. We believe in investing in our alumni before we place you into a role. The training helps to ensure you are prepared to join a client as we continue to support you while on the job. I would be happy to speak with you regarding your experience, but we’ve been lucky to have helped countless others start their career, and yes, preparing a recent graduate to join a large multi-national client requires hard work on both parts. We wish you the best of luck in your job search! I look forward to connecting with you regarding your experience. You can find my email address below. Pros

- Training effectively covered the basics of coding language (Python in my case) - Paid relocation expenses due to job offer being in a different state - Paid Training - Decent Benefits - Received a job offer/interview from a client very quickly after finishing training - Fully onboarded/converted to full-time with the client after a year contracted through Wiley - Pay raise every six months after appraisal with on-site manager

Cons

- Pay is somewhat low initially - Time tracking and dealing with time-off requests between two companies can be tedious - Training will cover the basics, but if the client is a massive company, you may still be pretty far out of your depth initially

Hello, Congrats on your job offer! It is great to hear that you enjoyed your time working with us. It is our mission to help bridge the gap between college and the workforce, and we value every alumni that we get to work with. For many candidates, it is completely normal to feel out of their depth when joining a large multi-national organization. Hopefully, our teams, as well as the client's team, were able to help you become more comfortable over time. Though the pay is competitive initially, candidates typically appreciate the pay increases after their first year. The additional training, guidance, and optional certifications you received should also help you as you move forward in your career. Good luck in your new role!
