Pros

Flexible working arrangements, great people. There are some great opportunities to come in, develop some cool products, and move the market in a positive direction. Product portfolio is large and engineering and marketing teams are very knowledgable about the products they develop. The management has good vision for where the company should be heading. Overall, there is tons of opportunity to succeed and grow. Great compensation, benefits, and people make nVent a great company to work for. Work-life balance is well respected as with time-off requests.

Cons

Fast to make decisions, can be slow to execute. This is both a good and bad thing. Engineering resources are constrained so have to pick and choose what projects to take on.

Pros

Overall, the people at the plant level are great to work with. Compensation salary wise is good and medical benefits are good.

Cons

The CEO says that as part of SPARK people are at the core. She likes to say this but they keep taking away special rewards, etc from the employees. Such as holiday parties, summer picnics, and various other awards. These were key in fostering a teem environment. The company also likes to preach that we are one nVent but when new databases are rolled out not all sites are represented and this results in having to limp along to get the job done, essentially adding manual steps which take more time to complete. Lay offs are common. It sends a bad message when you lay off floor staff and keep hiring upper leadership positions.

Pros

Paycheck, benefits, free water in the hot summer month's.

Cons

Management is clueless and doesn't have any care in the world for employees. Lots of favoritism and certain individuals aren't held accountable for their job. Turnover to hire ratio is despicable. Very unorganized chaotic work environment that leaves workers stress and clueless of what is suppose to get done. Your just a number and no recognition for your hard work. Lack of proper training and are held accountable if you don't know something due to lack of training to begin with. Possible to get blamed for things that you haven't done all because management rather take one person word for it and run with it instead of doing a proper investigation. Bad attitudes from leads who aren't suppose to be leads which makes employees quit or be miserable.
