Pros

Nice atmosphere at work, typically laid back. Majority of the people you work with are friendly and amiable. Most of the time your customers are genuinely pleased with your service and it is nice helping people's electronics.

Cons

The pay. Right off the bat you are severely under payed for the amount of work you do. You go through several weeks of training and even though your title is sales associate or consultant you are actually a diagnostician, iOS technician, and AT&T representative. The commission system is completely derailed. You get a set goal every month and if you hit that goal you get a certain percentage as a bonus. However, in stores where the foot traffic is very little they don't adjust the goal to reflect that. So you'll just keep striving towards an impossible number and walk away with minimum wage. The management is awful. They are so obsessed with indoctrinating their employees into their almost cult-like culture (memorize the s-factors, memorize the culture and mission and vision) even to the point where you have to literally stand and recite the company's pledge in the same vein as putting your hand over your heart while looking at the american flag. Yet the best part is, despite what they preach, they never practice it. It is our goal to look out for the customer, but if you give the customer precisely what you need you will be reprimanded for not tacking on extra accessories for more money. They preach solidarity, yet they are interested in nothing more than making as much money as possible at the customer's expense. Their slogan is all apple all the time, yet it should rather be somewhat apple most of the time. Apple pay? Not in every store, and why should it be when Gamespot has it instead? Plenty of service phones in stock? If by plenty you mean 25, then yeah we have plenty. Simply Mac should be an easier, alternative to the apple store which can sometimes be overcrowded and overwhelming. However, more often than not I have to turn customers away to the apple store because our stock is so limited or because the scope of what we can actually do doesn't reach the same limits of what the apple store can do. This always leads to dissatisfied customers. Every. Single. Time. And all that means is the company loses a following.
