Pros

decdent pay - ok benefits - co-workers are all pretty nice. new facility that is decorated well and good perks in the kitchen

Cons

management, favoritism, benefits and not much room for advancement unless you're a brown noser. also expect you to work well past business hours without extra pay.

Pros

Great shop for the right developer Great office Good technical challenges

Cons

If you are not willing to fight for your beliefs, this is not the place for you. The culture can be brutal to the wrong employee. You will be expected to perform and do a lot but at the end of the day how you click with the culture and your manager will mean more than the work you perform. I have a great reputation as a developer but there were days everything I did was wrong because it did not agree with the opinions of my manager. Rules are inconsistently enforced. You will be told you can break a rule and then if other things are not going well, criticized for doing so. This is a company where people do things together more than talk together. It is perfectly ok to be social playing a game (and spend a lot of time doing so). Talking will be seen as disruptive.

Pros

Good company with great benefits. They offer good PTO availability. They have decent retirement options like 401K and pension. Health benefits are also good. There is some room for advancement within the company. However, unless you are in with certain people, a jog here is better looked up as a stepping point for those getting that initial experience in the IT world.

Cons

Case workload is horrible. We're expected to have huge case loads, but are not given time away from incoming calls to work the cases. There are some huge concerns with management. There is a lot of scheming and plotting between managers. Nepotism is blatant. Horribly unqualified people advance so managers have their people in place because the drink the koolaid. Some managers, moreso in operations, some in support, are more concerned with making decisions that will protect their own jobs... Instead of doing their jobs. I wanted to apply for a position in operations. But I avoided it after seeing how the managers operate that team. I'm happier where I am.
