Our Columbus staffers shopped online and braved the malls to fulfill Christmas wish lists of 25 children, ages 18 months to 15 years old submitted to the St. Vincent Family Center’s Adopt A Family Program. Employees also participated in a construction industry food drive for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, in cooperation with Pepper Construction. The entire campaign donated nearly 255,000 meals, pushing the 13-year total to over 493,000 meals donated.

In honor of Hunger Awareness Month, American Structurepoint’s Community Service group in Indianapolis sponsored a Pack Away Hunger meal packing event this week! In just two hours, our team managed to pack 5,616 meals. Wanting to reach a final count of 10,000, a group from Fishers Intermediate School learning about food insecurity took on the challenge of packing the remaining meals. Great job, everyone!

All of the trees will be taken to Riley’s Children Hospital to decorate a child’s room for the holiday season. Thanks to J+J Flooring for hosting such a fun event and great job to everyone who participated – the trees looked amazing!

If you’ve been through a move, you know the logistics, coordination, and group effort that goes into making it happen. We recently moved our headquarters of nearly 400 staff members a few miles north, to a brand new location. The task was momentous, but the work was worth the reward! Now that we’ve had a couple weeks to settle in, we broke down the move by the numbers to quantify our feat!

We recently hosted a group of American Structurepoint and Citizens Energy Group interns and young engineers for a real-world learning opportunity. The group visited the DigIndy Tunnel System and 16 Tech Community Corporation project sites. As part of the tour, the group was lowered 250 feet below ground to see the construction of the DigIndy Tunnel. They also experienced active construction of new roads, buildings, and large drinking water transmission lines at the 16Tech construction site!
