Recently an Asbury associate shared, "I have more coworkers at Asbury who have been with the company for over ten years than anywhere I have ever worked before!" This got us thinking: How many of Asbury's 2,500 associates have been here for at least 10 years? The answer...500 associates! That's one in every five associates across the organization. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median tenure for workers in non-hospital health services is just over three years. Nearly 20% of Asbury associates have crossed the decade mark!
Recently, Asbury Chandler Estate associates participated in an Infection Control Escape Room. They were separated into groups and timed to complete the tasks. One group even beat the overall time for all of the facilities the program had visited so far! Congratulations to these problem-solvers at Chandler Estate!
Last week, Bethany Village wellness professionals Susie Lupkes and Aidan Blaine took a group of residents interested in brain health to the Asbury Methodist Village Rosborough Wellness & Brain Health Center for Excellence. Residents had the opportunity to experience the community's rock wall, boxing studio, and exergaming! "It felt like taking a step into the future, in a way," said Aidan, who joined the Bethany Village team just three months ago. "This is what wellness is becoming: the equal balance of physical and mental health." At Asbury, we know that physical, emotional, and cognitive wellness go hand in hand and we seek to provide residents with robust, holistic programming designed to ensure that we are addressing all aspects of well-being.
