Family Volunteering Opportunity at an Elementary School. Behr team members invited their children to help paint several vibrant murals at a Santa Ana, CA school. This was a great opportunity for them to share a community service activity together and make a positive impact in their community.

Recognizing our Behr Military Service Members | In honor of Veterans Day, our executive leadership team hosted a private reception, thanking those at Behr who raised their right hand to serve our country. We’re so grateful for their bravery and sacrifice. To support veterans in the communities where we work and live, we’ve made grants to veterans-focused nonprofits throughout the US, including Fisher House chapters, Habitat for Humanity chapters, Working Wardrobes/Vet Net, Hire Heroes, and scholarships for veterans with Carry the Load and the Newark (OH) Campus Development Fund.

Behr Receives 2024 Impact Award. We were honored to receive the Impact Award from the Council On Aging for our volunteering efforts over the years supporting the SmileMakers Program. The program was developed to provide personalized, wrapped gifts to over 6,500 seniors across Orange and Riverside counties during the holiday season. "We are truly honored to receive the 2024 Council on Aging Southern California Impact Award,” said Jeanne Duncan, Marketing Director at Behr Paint. “We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an important cause and look forward to furthering our impact in the years to come."

New Mural Celebrates Global Collaboration to Protect our Oceans. The Ocean Institute in Dana Point, CA, recently unveiled a powerful new mural created by renowned ocean advocate and artist NöcHe, in collaboration with the Mares Foundation. This mural, which highlights native marine species and ecosystems, is a symbol of our shared responsibility to protect and respect the ocean. Behr proudly donated all paint for the project, and 10 team members volunteered to help with the painting.

Annual Coastal Cleanup Day. Behr team members participated in a beach cleanup event hosted by the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. It was an opportunity to show our dedication to our coast by helping to protect and preserve it. Thank you to the Aquarium, our philanthropy partner, for hosting this event.

Team Members Participate in 9/11 National Day of Service. Twenty Behr colleagues volunteered with Carry the Load Foundation, which held a National Day of Service to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11. To honor those who have served our country, they cleaned headstones at ten different military cemeteries throughout the US, stretching from Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA, to Cyprus Hills National Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY. “I was humbled to shake hands and thank the veterans for their service, seeing how they are still serving those who sacrificed everything for us,” said Chris, Regional Sales Manager. “Today was a day that everyone should experience at some point. I’m proud that I work for a Company that allows me to participate.”

Vikki says, "Behr provided me with the opportunity to complete my college career as a working parent. I wouldn’t have been able to check the box on this goal if it wasn’t for this amazing development opportunity provided by Behr. It was one of the most rewarding experiences, as I not only grew personally but professionally.”
