Scholarships for Behr Team Members’ Children & Grandchildren | Through the generosity of one of Behr’s founders, Jack Croul, our team members can apply for college scholarships for their children and grandchildren. Sydne Clarke, daughter of Duaine Clarke, Distribution Center Manager in Kutztown, PA, is one of the 34 talented recipients who received a scholarship this academic year. Duaine is proud of Sydne, a Sophomore Honors Political Science Major and Journalism minor at Howard University, who recently received the Alain Locke Award for highest GPA in her freshman year.

Conservation Volunteers Help Clean the Coastline | On January 2, four of our So Cal-based team members used company-provided volunteer hours to collect beach trash in Long Beach. Along with about a dozen other volunteers, they collected 460 pounds of trash in a two-hour period. We appreciate our philanthropy partner, Aquarium of the Pacific, for hosting this event and our team members for helping to keep our iconic coastlines clean and healthy.

Creating Sustainable Decorations for the Holidays | We appreciate the creativity of our team members, especially during this holiday season. Check out the winter wonderland scene created by a team in our Research & Development lab. They repurposed used paint cans to make igloos and old test cards to create cutouts and decorations.

Holiday Greetings Using Upcycled, Obsolete Behr Paint Chips | Our People Services leader at Behr collaborated with his resourceful and creative wife to craft handmade cards for all his team members. Together, they repurposed obsolete paint chips, otherwise destined for a landfill, and transformed them into personalized holiday cards that are now beautiful works of art!

Our 9th Year Supporting Spark of Love Toy Drive | Our So Cal colleagues have been busy collecting donations for the Spark of Love Toy Drive, offered by the County of Los Angeles Fire Department, ABC7, and Toys for Tots. This week, they delivered a BEHR truck full of sports equipment and toys to the Honda Center in Anaheim. As a nine-year participant, we are thrilled to help make the holidays a little brighter by collecting gifts for underserved children and teens in the So Cal area.

Rudolph Andrade, a Squad Leader / Coordinator for the Veteran Peer Access Network (VPAN), provided information guiding veterans towards resources crucial for their well-being and success beyond their military service.

Through the Mobile Market at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, our team members loaded cars with turkeys and all the trimmings, helping ensure 5000 families would have a nice Thanksgiving meal. We appreciate how our team members take the time to give back in their local communities.
