This month, we spoke with the President of Carpet One Floor & Home, John Gilbert, about the divisional mission to support retail members & the recent initiatives that are changing the game for their businesses. John touches upon the single largest project that CCA Global Partners has ever undertaken, the launch of Retail 2.0. "This is a transformative initiative that addresses every step of the customer journey, culminating with the showroom visit. Supporting Retail 2.0 is our launch of an improved product file management system, G2, that perfects both our product data files as well as the delivery system to points of contact; website, digital price tags, in-store Product Experience Platform, and member P&Ls." In addition to the launch, members, staff, and vendors from Carpet One Floor & Home just concluded their Summer Regional meetings, where the team gathered at venues across North America to share their vision for Retail 2.0 as well as embrace member feedback.

Meet Vice President, Human Resources, Lisa Finke! 👋🏼 Lisa recognizes that culture has become a powerful differentiator at CCA Global Partners, and has learned that when employees feel valued & connected to their workplace, that sense of belonging and purpose leads to better engagement, satisfaction, and commitment to their roles. With 23 years of experience in both our Manchester, NH & St. Louis, MO offices, Lisa offers advice to our newest colleagues, urging them to, "Enjoy every moment during your time with us, whether it be for a few years or whether you turn into a lifer! Don't be afraid to speak up and share your ideas or opinions - we foster an environment of collaboration & engagement. Stay true to The CCA Way & always be passionate about what we do for our members!" Lisa reveals her favorite book, 212 The Extra Degree: Extraordinary Results Begin with One Small Change, written by Sam Parker. She explains that, "At 211 degrees, water is hot. At 212 degrees, it boils. With boiling water comes steam and steam can power a locomotive. 'That one extra degree of effort, in business and life, can separate the good from the great.' Isn't this amazing to think about when you're working on a project or initiative?"

She was adopted and in 2000, met her biological sister who she's now closely bonded with. She also has an interesting hobby; "I collect stones, crystals & fossils. We enhance their appearance using a tumbling process that can take several months. When all is completed, they are shiny, smooth and beautiful."

From his co-creation of Frontline, a foundational system serving members by focusing on customer relationship-building, his leadership through the 2008 recession which cultivated the most significant driver of sales growth over the previous 13 years, and his hand in launching Kiba Studios, an expansive kitchen & bath showroom founded in 2019 and currently offered to @Carpet One Floor & Home and @Flooring America retailers, Shane's work has continued to amaze. Andrew goes on to say, "Shane is a creative, high-energy, & positive-thinking leader who has developed and surrounded himself with a very talented team. He embodies the core values and attributes of CCA as a smart, disciplined, creative individual with solid team-building and collaborative skills."
