Inbound Logistics recently released its Top 100 Third-Party Logistics Provider list, and we are pleased to announce that CJ Logistics America was included. The company has been named to this list numerous times since its inception. Speaking about this list, Inbound Logistics Editor Felecia Stratton said, “When an enterprise needs to flex and scale, it puts a 3PL to work. Flexibility and scalability is the theme of our annual 3PL edition – and for good reason. Outsourcing supply chain, logistics and transportation solutions to a trusted partner is never more important than when it’s time to prepare for growth, and the Inbound Logistics Top 100 3PLs deliver.” The Top 100 list appears in the Inbound Logistics July 2024 magazine and all of its digital properties. You can check out the full list by clicking the link here. “Making this list is yet another piece of evidence that our company is a leader in the supply chain industry,” said CJ Logistics America CEO Kevin Coleman. “It’s a testament of the hard work and dedication all of our employees around the world bring to their roles every single day.” “Hundreds of companies submitted credentials once again this year, presenting a difficult challenge for the selection team to choose only 100 3PL leaders among them,” Stratton stated. “Our aim was not just to recognize the biggest providers, but also the best partners capable of providing the solutions our audience needs.”

Smith shared his thoughts and key takeaways from the event.
CJ Logistics America executives joined other business and community leaders in supporting First Tee – Greater Chicago during the organization’s annual Corporate Challenge event earlier this week. First Tee – Greater Chicago is a nonprofit that works to empower kids and teens through the game of golf. They strive to instill in their participants the First Tee Nine Core Values – honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment. CJ Logistics not only sponsored a foursome golf group in the event, but also donated several signed memorabilia items and tickets for THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson 2025 to First Tee’s silent auction fundraiser. Items were autographed by PGA pro golfers who are sponsored by CJ Logistics, including K.H. Lee, SungJae Im, Ben An, and SiWoo Kim. “We are so pleased to support First Tee’s Corporate Challenge again,” said CJ Logistics America CEO Kevin Coleman. “They are a wonderful organization that is making a real difference for so many children and young adults throughout the Chicagoland community.”
Safety is a priority at CJ Logistics America, and is something that we put a significant focus on with our warehouse workers and drivers across all of our locations and transportation routes. As a small part of this broader commitment to safety, we have established an internal program that promotes awareness and education of proper safety practices. We are proud to announce that our warehouse in Arlington, Texas, recently celebrated five straight years without a single OSHA-related safety incident. As CJ Logistics America Chief Operating Officer Ken Heller stated regarding the milestone, “perfection is possible.” Logistics can be a dangerous industry if precautions and protocols aren’t followed, which is why the health and safety of every CJ Logistics employee has always been, and forever will be, our number one priority. We would like to express our gratitude and congratulations to every employee in our Arlington distribution center who stepped up and lived our values to keep themselves and each other safe to reach this impressive milestone!
CJ Logistics America’s Successful Careers in Logistics (SCIL) program focuses on highly-competent college graduates who are interested in working in the supply chain industry, giving them the opportunity to explore leadership development through the company’s warehousing, transportation, and corporate locations. This 12 month program, which has been around for more than 30 years, is dedicated to developing future leaders within our organization. Our 2023 cohort graduated from the program last week and have been able to experience the many different segments within the supply chain field. They have also gained an introduction to business process integration, supply chain solutions, continual improvement, engineering, and lean methodology. The knowledge they’ve acquired has taught them to think creatively about customer solutions and contribute to CJ Logistics’ vision of being the global Supply Chain Management Innovator. These talented individuals have also built key leadership skills and professional relationships by meeting and working with CJ Logistics employees who are involved in daily operations and decision-making.
Juneteenth is an internationally-celebrated day commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. While President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation went into effect on January 1, 1863, it wasn’t recognized by Southern states, specifically Texas. Two and a half years after the proclamation, Union Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, with enough troops to actually enforce the proclamation and free the slaves. Granger issued General Order No. 3, which stated: “The people of Texas are informed that in accordance with a Proclamation from the Executive of the United States, all slaves are free. This involves an absolute equality of rights and rights of property between former masters and slaves, and the connection heretofore existing between them becomes that between employer and hired laborer.” According to Juneteenth.com, the holiday “celebrates African American freedom and achievement, while encouraging continuous self-development and respect for all cultures. As it takes on a more national, symbolic and even global perspective, the events of 1865 in Texas are not forgotten, for all of the roots tie back to this fertile soil from which a national day of pride is growing.” President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law in 2021, officially making the day a federal holiday. CJ Logistics is proud of the diversity present not only in our own company, but throughout the entire country.
Every year in June, the United States celebrates Pride Month and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) community. The month of June was selected to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising in New York City in June 1969. In a proclamation issued on May 31, 2024, the White House said, “During Pride Month, we celebrate the extraordinary courage and contributions of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) community. We reflect on the progress we have made so far in pursuit of equality, justice, and inclusion. We recommit ourselves to do more to support LGBTQI+ rights at home and around the world.” At CJ Logistics America, we believe our world is better when diverse peoples and cultures come together to understand each other’s experiences and perspectives. We stand with our team members and all those who share in that vision of global community and diversity. We unite with compassion and truth to embrace diversity, uphold equality and collaborate to build a better future. We thank all of our team members for coming together in the spirit of Integrity, Passion, Creativity and Respect, day in and day out.
Safety is a crucial component of any supply chain operation, and it’s something that CJ Logistics America takes extremely seriously. We place safety above anything else in this business, because the most important part of this company is the wellbeing of the people who work here. That’s why we are rolling out our “Summer of Safety” program throughout our entire organization this week. The slogan for this program is “100% Commitment, 100% Effort, 100% Responsibility, 100% Accountability = 0 Incidents.” This initiative runs from June through September and will feature different themes throughout the course of the summer. These themes include subjects like heat stress prevention, emergency response, ergonomics in the warehouse, the importance of safety, hazard identification, and developing a proactive safety culture. The event will be supported through an online learning platform with training materials, presentations and meetings specific to the topics above, increased signage around CJ Logistics America warehouses to promote education, and fun employee activities and celebrations.
CJ Logistics America has been named as a winner of Food Logistics’ Top 3PL & Cold Storage Provider awards for yet another year. These awards honor the best supply chain and logistics companies in the food and beverage industry. This news comes during a year of rapid growth for CJ Logistics in the cold storage space, when the company announced new facilities in Georgia and Kansas City. Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief at Food Logistics, had the following to say about the awards. “From closures and the never-ending driver shortage to fighting labor costs and adjusting to electrification, it’s been quite the year for third-party logistics (3PL) providers. Yet 3PLs and cold storage providers remain a key puzzle piece to building and nurturing partnerships, cultivating resilience and helping companies in the cold food space overcome supply chain disruptions. That’s why it’s important we honor and celebrate the top 3PLs and cold storage providers, both nationally and internationally.”
For the 14th year in a row, Inbound Logistics has selected CJ Logistics America as a Green Supply Chain Partner. This annual list, which was established in 2009, recognizes 75 supply chain companies.
