This month, as we honor the achievements of Black Americans, we are reminded that a greater understanding and respect for our unique differences will drive positive change. Our employee work groups, such as BLAC (Build, Lead and Learn, Advocate and Collaborate), help cultivate an inclusive environment and amplify the voices of our diverse workforce, ensuring everyone’s contributions are valued and celebrated. That’s #TheChildrensHealthDifference. #WhereYouBelong
In a couple of weeks, we'll begin seeing patients at our new Specialty Center Prosper location! One of the many services available at this location will be advanced sports medicine expertise and a dedicated fracture clinic for student athletes provided by our Children's Health Andrews Institute. We're grateful and excited to serve patients in this region closer to home. More information about this new Specialty Center is available at
We have something exciting coming to Prosper next month! As we expand to serve the needs of our growing patient population, we're thrilled to bring our award-winning care to the communities north of Dallas and beyond. Along with UT Southwestern Medical Center, we look forward to serving more children and families closer to home. Stay tuned for more information and updates!
We’re honored to be recognized by the Dallas Regional Chamber with the Best Place for Working Parents Dallas Innovator Award in the Large Business category. The award recognizes family-friendly workplaces in the Dallas region and cites our highly impactful benefits, including providing up to $10,000 in reimbursement for adoption or surrogacy expenses, and subsidizing $1,000 in a dependent care flexible spending account for employees.
We're honored to again be the beneficiary of the Reunion Tower Over the Top NYE event! The panoramic fireworks display is one of the largest in the country and lights up the Dallas skyline every New Year’s Eve. Be sure to tune in on Saturday to NBC 5 at 11:30 p.m. or watch here on Facebook Live:
We’re thankful for our team members like Andrea O’Neill, who help provide some normalcy to our patients’ families during the holiday season. She organizes gifts and donations from the community to stock our Dallas holiday store where families can “shop” for patients and their siblings.
Meet Lynn Rodgers! Lynn joined our Patient Care Technician (PCT) apprenticeship program in pursuit of her passion to care for others. The PCT apprenticeship is a one-year, paid training that includes on-the-job learning and classroom instruction to enable team members like Lynn to assist in the delivery of care. "When I look back on my experience, I am so proud of what I accomplished. I took a chance on myself, I believed in myself - and now I get to help patients and their families. And, I get to work with my peers to make sure they become better techs too."

"I can't imagine doing anything else or working anywhere else. When I go to work every day, I have an amazing opportunity to make a difference - in the lives of my patients and with my team. Not a lot of people have that opportunity. It's hard, but it is a true blessing to be able to work here," says Richard Escobedo, RN in our Emergency Department. Interested in being part of this amazing team that cares for each other with the same passion they have for their patients?
We know our patients are stars, and today they had the opportunity to hang out with Dallas Stars players! Thank you to the team for taking time out of your day to make our patients feel special. Our patients had a blast!
