"My favorite part of the day is speaking with each and every one of our families and making that initial connection, and providing myself as a resource to alleviate any current or future anxiety." Our team member Laura's journey with us began in our Level IV NICU as a team leader 10 years ago. Here she was exposed to various opportunities, one of which was the Fetal Evaluation Treatment Alliance (FETAL) Center. The FETAL Center is a program where pregnant mothers whose fetus has been diagnosed with an anomaly are referred. Laura made the transition from our NICU to the FETAL Center early in her career and truly feels it's her calling in nursing.
Children are more at risk for injuries while out walking on Halloween night than any other day of the year. When planning your Halloween festivities, keep in mind a few tips: 1️⃣ Choose costumes that are visible at night so drivers can see them in the dark. 2️⃣ Keep costumes short and snug. Baggy sleeves, capes and skirts can cause kids to trip or fall. 3️⃣ Teach your kids to look left, right and left again before crossing at street corners.
