Everyone says it’s important to give back to your community. Chelsee Greer, D.O., is doing exactly that! Greer was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma when she was just 12 years old. While she went through six rounds of chemotherapy at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, she shared that she wanted to become a pediatric oncologist. A little over two decades later, she’s living that dream in the same place where she received treatment. “This has been the plan since I was 12,” she said. We’re so grateful to have Dr. Greer on our team.

At Cook Children's Rehabilitation Services, our speech language pathologists (SLPs) are highly skilled and experienced in children's #communication development. Comfort, education and play! That’s what child life specialists provide to relieve the stress that children and families feel when they enter the hospital. “Child Life has a unique role and goal within the health care team,” said Ashley Pagenkopf, MS, CCLS, a child life specialist in the emergency department at Cook Children’s. “Our job is to bridge a gap between very scary health care experiences and children. We want kids to walk away very proud of themselves even after a hard day. They can sit still. They can take deep breaths.
