We're continually striving to engage with a variety of industry groups and organizations to further drive and support diversity, equity and inclusion with a culture that fosters a sense of belonging and brings our inclusive culture to life. Our Elanco Innovation and Alliance Center (IAC) in India was recently awarded with six company awards and one individual award at the AcellHerate and DivHERsity Awards 2024, the largest DE&I summit in India that has more than 350 companies participating. The IAC team was awarded as a “Top 5 Company in divHERsity” along with being recognized among the “Top 20 Most Innovative Practices” in five categories: DivHERsity Policies, Women Returnee Programs, Women L&D Programs, Women Leadership Development and DivHERsity Programs. Also recognized was Mukta Arora for an individual award as a “Top 5 Diversity Champion”.
Two of our team members, Amanda Kephart, Executive Director of U.S. Customer Experience and Brianna Brown, Global DE&I Recruiting Strategy Leader, have been selected as part of 2023 Seramount Working Parents. This recognition is a testament to Elanco's commitment to creating an environment that supports and empowers parents to thrive both personally and professionally. We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Amanda and Brianna for their well-deserved recognition.
We are dedicated to transforming animal care through science. “I’m really excited about the next era of Elanco’s innovation,” says Dr. Jennifer Miller, veterinarian technical marketer, about our canine parvovirus treatment and bringing other innovative solutions to pet owners and to pets. Check out the AgriNovus Indiana Agbioscience Podcast with Dr. Jennifer Miller below.
Today we reported our third quarter 2023 financial results, exceeding expectations. We grew revenue, adjusted EBITDA and adjusted EPS in the quarter, and begin of a trajectory of revenue growth we expect to continue in Q4 and in 2024. Our success will be driven by our differentiated global omnichannel approach, leveraging the strength of our diverse portfolio, and enhanced leadership capabilities.
Our team members are celebrating our fifth annual Global Day of Purpose, a chance to give back to local communities through volunteering efforts. Around the world, teams are taking part in meal packing events, environmental clean ups, helping out at animal shelters and much more. All in an effort to live our commitment of making life better for animals, people and the planet.
October as our global purpose month is just around the corner. We encourage and support our Elanco team members to volunteer for causes important to them. In the first six months of 2023, Elanco employees have volunteered more than 4,000 hours. Volunteering is a great way to create memories, see your community in a different light and improve your own mental health.
Being at Elanco is about being connected to the culture and community, not only of the company but other team members, their families and the local area. See some pictures how our headquarters in Greenfield, Indiana, celebrated Elanco Day - a day in which employees bring their families to visit the office, play fun games and, of course, pet some animals. This year included a group dog walk as part of Pet Partners “World’s Largest Pet Walk.” We had a preplanned walking route complete with dog treats, people treats, shady areas and water stations.
What’s the best part about being a summer intern at Elanco? “The best part is meeting all of the wonderful employees and being welcomed into the company’s culture with open arms,” said Jack Schwartz, R&D Intern. But don’t just take Jack’s word for it! “The best part is the community within the company,” said Alex Speak, R&D Intern – Regulatory and Pharma. “My favorite part of the day is talking to employees, learning about their current roles, career paths and educational experiences in addition to their lives!” For Ethan Wallace, Automation Intern at our Clinton, Indiana manufacturing site, the best part is “the overall inclusion and the fact that there’s always something new to learn.”
Pets play an important role at Elanco, even if it's just their photos being used to make people smile. At our Elwood and Kansas City offices in the US, the halls are lined with team member pet photos with an engraved plaque featuring the pet's name and their employee owner. Not only does this allow everyone to see their furry friends every day, but it's a fun reminder of our purpose, passion and commitment to helping animals.
What a year it has been at Elanco! In 2022 we broke ground on our new global headquarters in downtown Indianapolis, expanded our portfolio in both pet and farm animal health, increased our global volunteerism with over 10,550 hours of employee service and made waves in sustainability, converting our Kiel, Germany manufacturing site to 100% wind energy. We are grateful for the people behind the blue slash who came together to continue making Elanco a global leader in the animal health industry. As the chapter on this year closes and a new chapter opens, we look forward to innovating and delivering products and services that make life better for animals.
