Our newly released 2022 Affordable Housing Advisory Council (AHAC) report details how our many different programs are making a difference throughout our district. This past year, we increased our voluntary contribution by 25% after recognizing community needs across the district far exceeded the community investment dollars the Bank had available. In a challenging economic environment, we’re helping fund more projects that make housing affordable and keep small businesses growing across Indiana and Michigan. We continue to support the communities we serve through our affordable housing and community investment programs. Read the report here: https://lnkd.in/gQcf-ZEQ

Supporting affordable housing is what we do, and that includes groups like Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity. Yesterday, dozens of Bank staff gathered at headquarters for a panel build to benefit a local resident. Over the years, we’ve supported Habitat with multiple smaller projects, but this was our first on-site build as lead sponsor since 2010. The Bank is among several major corporate sponsors in Indianapolis, including Allegion, Carrier, dormakaba Americas and Eli Lilly and Company, among others. At the end of the day, our team completed all the panels needed for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom 1,400-square-foot home destined for city’s Riverside neighborhood, making the dream of homeownership one step closer for a resident in need. #OneBankOneTeam

On July 13th, the 2021 FHLBank Indianapolis intern class helped to put together hygiene kits for residents at Pathway to Recovery , an Indianapolis program that offers transitional, semi-independent, and permanent housing to formerly homeless Hoosiers impacted by addiction and mental illness.
