It's no secret that our youth education programs, like Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG-WI) and Upward Bound, inspire and empower students to reach their full potential and contribute positively to their communities and the world. 🗺️ Sarah Jo, our Director of Operations for our Youth Education Programs, is one of our most avid champions for how we support youth in our communities. 💪 "I'm very grateful to the work our staff are doing to level the educational playing field and provide high wage jobs for our youth," says Sarah Jo. "Together, we can overcome any obstacle."

An important aspect of our impact code focuses on being open to learning how we can better serve the vulnerable population of our community as well as cultivate an encouraging and respectful work environment for our staff. Yesterday, at our annual person All-Staff meeting, we had an enlightening opportunity where we learned how to better understand crucial DEIA conversations and create a more inclusive workplace for everyone. The afternoon included some team-building activities followed by a critical session on 'The Macro Effect of Microaggressions' where we learned and practiced how to identify and confront microaggressions effectively. Thank you, Jeannine Bindl and Stephanie Munoz, from Step Up For Equity, and Amanda Goodenough with Goodenough Consulting, LLC., for your insights on creating a safe space for us to grow with one another. It was a wonderful day full of openness, honesty and connection. We can't wait to take what we learned from these sessions and apply it to our work and help others. #equitymatters #alwayslearning #inclusivityforall
We are so proud of our FSC teammates for their generosity and kindness this holiday season! Our Green Bay team collected and delivered gifts for a family in need who is staying at Golden House Domestic Violence Shelter. Our Corporate office in Madison also collected toys for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots's annual drive. They also went above and beyond and went to all the businesses in our building to collect donations. This is what the spirit of giving is all about. Thank you for making a difference in our community!
We had a blast at the Trunk or Treat event hosted by Howe Community Resource Center in Green Bay last weekend. Our FSC Green Bay team showed up in awesome costumes and had a great time connecting with the families in our community. We love what we do at FSC, and we also love having fun together. If you want to join a team that cares about making a difference and having a good time, check out our current openings at the link below.
This fall, kiddos aren't the only ones going back to school. Some of our employees are, too! Our mission involves educating and supporting the professional development of the workforce in our communities. As such, we also firmly believe that future growth is nourished by the knowledge and skills of our employees. As an organization, we support the continuous improvement of our employees and will help them achieve their own personal and professional dreams, no matter how big or small. We invest in our employees and their career growth by encouraging their participation in workshops, conferences, higher education programs, and other training opportunities that closely relate to their position within our organization and field of service. Here are some of our employees who are getting back into the school groove as they continue their higher education journey and achieve their personal goals. We're so proud of the work you do, the people you are, and the difference you make. Have a great school year!
June was Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. Alzheimer’s disease is a type of dementia that affects memory, thinking, and behavior. Our staff across the state wore purple to show our support for those affected and suffering. Alzheimer’s is a brain disease—it’s not a normal part of aging. But you don't have to go through it alone. When you work at FSC, you also gain a family and a support system. Join our team that truly cares about you. Check out a list of our current openings on our Careers Page at fsc-corp.org.
When we dedicate our time to serving others, it's also important to take time to refresh our batteries. AT FSC, we not only give compassion to others but we celebrate those that we work with. Our Staff in Dane county recently spent some quality team building time at Tiereny Park in DeForest, WI. They had a blast doing a number of fun activities like bag toss, board games, and a fun scavenger hunt. An added a sentimental touch to their day was participating in a "Pat on Your Back" exercise where staff traced their hand on a piece of paper and a coworker would write in something special about them inside the lines. It was a great day and we felt more together than ever!
This May we celebrated moms all month long. After all, they deserve more than just a day! :) As most of us being moms ourselves, we know how chaotic and unpredictable life can be. Working for FSC can give you the flexibility to work from home during holidays when daycare is closed or when the kiddos are at home sick. "My bosses are really understanding," says Sarah, fellow mom and compassionate W-2 worker. We'd like to thank all our "mom" employees who give it their all when helping our participants and provide a comforting shoulder to lean on. We appreciate you, more than you know. Join our team that "gets" moms because we're moms just like you! Check out our careers page for a list of our current openings.
