In honor of Earth Day, GMR's Corporate Counsel, Molly Rose Madonia, is sharing how she celebrates by making small changes that can add up to a big impact. “Earth Month is a fun way to highlight and celebrate the beauty of our natural resources. It is also an important recognition of our responsibility to preserve and protect our planet. One of my favorite activities during Earth Month is to explore new ways to observe an eco-friendly lifestyle, including new low-waste tips and the latest in sustainable practices. By taking a proactive approach to reduce our footprints, we can reduce household waste (and household costs!) through reusable products, recycling, or upcycling. Sometimes, all it takes are simple changes to create a lasting, meaningful impact!”

GMR Senior Director of Strategy Kurt Jansen discusses the importance of inclusivity and representation in marketing, specifically when it comes to physical appearance. Regardless of gender, race, shape or size, we all deserve to be seen. Brands have not only an opportunity, but a responsibility to “sell reality versus selling an ideology.”

GMR Marketing on LinkedIn: Where's The "Dad Bod" in Marketing?
With offices, conferences and many other events continuing the hybrid format, it can be difficult to keep people equitably engaged between live and virtual. GMR Senior Director of Strategy Alla Ioffe Dragoun identifies several solutions to keep both virtual and IRL participants involved, whether it’s for a 20-person meeting or a 2000-person conference.

GMR Marketing on LinkedIn: Creating Experiences Born of Humanity
Everyone knows the age-old truth “you never get a second chance to make a first impression,” but let us reinforce this for you. Let’s talk about Brand Ambassadors (BAs). Without the presence of BAs, many, if not all live experiences would simply fall flat. Yet we regularly observed unengaged and/or uninformed BAs at the events we measure, which is far worse than having none onsite. If the first touchpoint with your brand is a negative one, you as the brand marketer must work twice as hard to win that person back. Luckily, we’ve been doing this for 40+ years and know a thing or two about taking BAs from an extension of your brand and turning them into your brand—representing your values, mission, and objectives. Learn more in the GMR Brand Experience Index©.

If you ask GMR’s Adam Lippard why he works in sports marketing, he wouldn’t say it's for the seats at the Super Bowl or VIP access to the FIFA World Cup. He’d tell you it’s about using the privilege of his position to influence brands to do good for society. In 2023, the Edelman Trust Barometer shared a simple finding with an outsized impact: “Business is the only institution seen as competent and ethical.” And the intersection of business and sport is where the influence lies. Sport is a platform for purpose, and brands have the ability to join that platform and be part of changing the conversation. Virtually join Adam, Angel City Sports founder Clayton Frech and Paralympian Ezra Frech at Sports Business Journal’s All In Conference on Thursday for a conversation around using sport as a vital force for good, increasing visibility for the disabled community, and the continued momentum surrounding the Paralympic Movement. "If you’re applying for jobs in marketing, it’s kind of a flex to mention the Super Bowl on your resume. It’s an even bigger flex if you can do it while you’re still in college." We couldn't agree more Marketing Brew. GMR's Krista Hansen talks about how we work with the NFL and their Teammates Program to staff up the NFL House at the Super Bowl each year. The students aren't just working with our team to create an incredible experience for VIP hospitality guests - they're also honing their skills and making memories that will last throughout their careers.
