The Great Hearts Institute has announced that the 2025 National Symposium for Classical Education will be held from February 19-21 at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel. The 2025 event promises to continue the tradition of fostering deep discussions and learning about classical, liberal arts education, with a program that includes presentations from leading scholars and practitioners.

Elinor Patient, a bright fourth grader from Great Hearts Roosevelt, recently earned the title of 2024 Great Hearts Bard. Her captivating recitation of Robert Frost's "Mending Wall" won her this honor during the 11th annual poetry recitation event. Elinor stood out among 12 talented students from grades three to five across Great Hearts Arizona academies, each having advanced through two rounds of school-level competitions to reach this culminating event.

The Great Hearts Bard, our annual poetry recitation among our third, fourth, and fifth grade scholars from across the network in Arizona will take place in the Lund Center for the Performing Arts at Veritas Prep on Friday, April 12th, 2024 at 6:30 PM (MST). If you are unable to attend in person, you can still watch the competition through the live stream on Facebook and YouTube. One of the finalists will be announced as the 2024 Bard winner, taking over the reins for Lincoln Carpenter, the impressive 2023 Bard winner from Archway.
