Jackie Wang, a senior at Glendale Prep, recently documented her senior trip to Washington DC, sharing her experiences throughout the week. She described the entire experience as bittersweet. "Looking back on the memories, it's sad to think about parting ways with all these people. But I'm just so grateful for the time we shared together."

Last fall we announced ten seniors from Great Hearts Arizona academies qualified as National Merit Semifinalists. We are pleased to announce that each of them has been named National Merit Finalists. Each student has been recognized as one of the 15,000 highest scoring entrants of the PSAT, qualifying them for recognition in the National Merit Scholarship Program as finalists of over 50,000 semifinalists and 1.5 million entrants.

Julian Vera, a senior at Maryvale Prep, was excited to learn that he was recognized as a National Hispanic Scholar. The National Hispanic Recognition Program recognizes outstanding Latino and Hispanic high school students who earned high scores on the PSAT.

The volunteer group at Veritas Prep, "Great Hearts Great Hands" recently participated in the Eighth Annual Arcadia Cares - Food for Kidz Packathon. The volunteer group is comprised of 60 dedicated student members who are making a significant impact in their community through service.

Joshua Tom, a senior at Lincoln Prep, was selected as a Flinn Scholar Finalist. The Flinn Scholarship, considered Arizona’s most competitive merit-based scholarship, is awarded to excelling high school students that are selected from more than 1,000 applicants. He was selected out of these 1,000 applicants as one of the 80 semi-finalists, and now he is one of just 37 finalists.
