Hendrick Health honors our nursing staff this week for their dedication to excellent and compassionate care!
Hendrick Health has received the 2023 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) for the 17th consecutive year, making it the only healthcare organization to achieve this honor. In addition, Hendrick is only one of two companies worldwide to be recognized as one of the most engaged workplace cultures for all 17 years.
Hendrick Health earned an honorable mention for Texas Hospital Association’s (THA) 2022 Excellence in Community Service Award for the “A New Day (Nursery) in the Neighborhood” project that brought affordable childcare to north Abilene. To be considered for the Excellence in Community Service Award, organizations must demonstrate leadership and participation in beneficial, measurable programs in the community that have provided a positive outcome in health status. “We are very proud to receive this prestigious award from THA,” said Brad Holland, president and CEO for Hendrick Health. “This project was very special to us as we were able to identify and address such an important need in our community.”
Hendrick Health was recently recognized statewide for its employee-related efforts and initiatives. Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas named Hendrick as its 2022 Local Employer of Excellence for West Central Texas. In addition, Workforce Solutions chose Hendrick to represent the area as its nomination for the Large Employer of the Year Award. This nomination required that organizations have the resources available for employees that include, but not limited to: training and retaining employees, child care solutions, on-the-job training, creativity of enhancing employee skills, creating new jobs within the organization, and partnerships with schools and the local workforce education and development programs. Although Hendrick was not selected as Large Employer of the Year, we were honored to be a finalist with two other top Texas organizations across a variety of industries. Thank you to the Hendrick leaders for representing our organization at the Texas Workforce Commission's 25th Annual Texas Workforce Employer Awards program in Dallas.
At Hendrick, you have the opporunity to give back to the community through volunteerism. Thank you to the Hendrick Cares team for updating the Hendrick building at the Child Development Center, Safety City!
Each year, Hendrick recognizes and honors employees who have reached the one year of service milestone. This month, we hosted a come-and-go reception at each of our campuses where honorees received their one-year tenure badge along with a gift of appreciation from our organization.
