And that's another wrap on a successful Project Destined Mentorship program with team #HHC to represent the Greater Houston area! Project Destined trains and mentors undergraduate students by providing a hands-on experience analyzing live real estate deals by partnering with leading real estate firms like HHC. Over the last 10 weeks, students competed against other real estate companies in Texas, learning all about the industry and had the opportunity to hear from David O'Reilly, HHC CEO, and Doug Johnstone, Hawai'i Regional President, as they shared their insight into the real estate market and their #futurevision for HHC. From Wall Street to Waikiki, our community residents spent the weekend celebrating Earth Day, which is dedicated to demonstrating support for environmental protection. Fun events included learning how to identify edible plants that can be grown locally, a tree giveaway to support local initiatives, a caterpillar experience, understanding the value of teaching gardens, and chances to purchase local produce. 3w • The New York Region recently hosted 20 New York City high school students at #TheSeaport for Career Discovery Day in collaboration with Partnership for New York City! Students attended a resume workshop, created their own cities, attended a career panel to hear from a few #HHC employees to fuel #inspiration, and spent the day touring the historical and vibrant Seaport neighborhood, which included a visit to The Rooftop at Pier 17 and iconic Tin Building by Jean-Georges. In collaboration with the NYC Department of Education, The Partnership for New York City is a nonprofit membership organization that serves to build partnerships between government, businesses, and civic sectors to achieve a more inclusive and vibrant economy to build a stronger local workforce 💪
