The Milwaukee facilities participated in a "Stock Box Event" at The Hunger Task Force-Airport location. Over the course of 2 hours, 23 employees, and some of their family members, from Bradley Road, the Tech Center, Corporate and West packaged 20 pallets of food. We recognize that community outreach is a Hydrite responsibility as well as a privilege. Last week a group of volunteers from our Cottage Grove facility participated in the “Renew the Blue” event at Tenney Park in Madison. Hydrite joined forces with State Line Distillery to pick up garbage, clear out dead brush and pull up weeds in order to improve the park habitat. The celebrations keep on coming! Our Bradley Road and Technology Center facilities had a joint 90th celebration in honor of Hydrite's 90th birthday. They carried on the lively spirits with a pie eating contest, catered lunch and a bags competition. John Honkamp, second generation owner, spoke to the Hydrite culture and shared with the group "As long as we keep our employees as our number one priority, good things are in our future." And that we plan to do!
Milwaukee West kept the party going a few weeks ago as their branch celebrated Hydrite’s 90 years. This group recognized the company’s history with a catered lunch, photo booth, 90th anniversary videos, and some sweet treats. Another successful 90th anniversary celebration in the books! Our Waterloo, Iowa facility celebrated accordingly with grilled steaks, Dairy Queen treats, custom cupcakes, a photo booth and much more.
