Our Cottage Grove team recently rolled up their sleeves at Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin! Together, we peeled and bagged over 4,500 bananas (~1,300 lbs) — soon to be frozen and sent to local food pantries, keeping them from going to waste. 🍌💛 We’re proud to see our Hydrite Helps program in action! In milk processing, byproducts like condensate of whey (COW) water are often discarded. However, the condensate can be treated to remove impurities and reused as feed water for boilers in the same plant. Recovering this valuable resource helps: ✅ Cut discharge costs ✅ Save energy compared to cold make-up water ✅ Support sustainability goals Ready to rethink your COW water disposal? Last week we kicked off our 4th annual Month of Giving! Throughout September, Hydrite employees are encouraged to volunteer with local nonprofits as we work together to make a positive impact in our communities. We’re only one week in and our teams are already making a difference: 🐾 Our Cottage Grove branch joined the Dane County Humane Society to make blankets for the animals. 🍂 Our Waterloo branch supported Retrieving Freedom, Inc by helping with yardwork like mowing, trimming hedges, and cleaning dog kennels to get them ready for fall. 🚜 Our corporate office volunteers spent their afternoon at the Hunger Task Force farm for the first of four “Fridays on the Farm” — a returning series that will continue throughout September. And this is just the beginning! Stay tuned for more updates as our teams continue giving back this month 💙 Learn more about the Hydrite Helps program:
