To celebrate World Mental Health Day, we hosted a series of events led by our internal community group, Mind Body Soul, whose purpose is to raise awareness about wellness, create a community of support, and share resources made available through the brand. We kicked off our celebrations with a live taping of the Joy Jar, our internal podcast series that features conversations on empowerment, mental health and joy. For the discussion, Elisha London, social entrepreneur and mental health campaigner, joined Taryn Bird, our Senior Director of Social Impact. Teams also participated in a virtual community yoga session, led by our VP of Footwear, Jen Masella, in addition to our weekly meditation sessions. Plus, we celebrated 40+ employees becoming trained in Mental Health First Aid through our partners at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. For our fall store windows and interior displays, we were inspired by the idea of rediscovering your city. Skylines turn into characters, iconic shapes and figures are oversized and make you stop to take a second glance. We wanted the fall window display to capture the joy of New York (or wherever your city may be!) both big and small. From googly eyes on an abstract skyline to a literal big apple, this season we are embracing a new way of seeing the streets around us. Thank you to our teams around the world that brought this season to life! #loveinspades

We’ve grown an extraordinary experience in downtown Manhattan and we can’t wait for you to see it. Celebrate and rediscover The Big Apple at our live apple orchard in New York, where guests can pick apples sourced from local orchards across the state. Located on Gansevoort Street between Ninth Avenue and Hudson Street, the installation will be open to the public Wednesday, September 8 through Friday, September 10, just in time for New York Fashion Week. “We’re hoping that this beautiful installation will bring a smile to peoples’ faces, and spark joy for those who come to experience it. In New York, there’s always something a little unexpected and magical right around the corner.” - KSNY CMO, Jenny Campbell #LoveInSpades #NYFW
Did you know it takes 21 days to form a habit? For the 2nd year, we’ve joined Born This Way Foundation’s #BeKind21 campaign! We invite YOU to practice an act of kindness toward yourself and others — every day from September 1st to September 21st — to build kinder communities that foster mental wellness. This year, we will be participating with our community on Tik Tok and within our internal teams, across global stores and offices. Join us! To sign up as a part of Kate Spade’s #bekind21 team, go to https://lnkd.in/diKGwYQ and when prompted to sign up on behalf of a company, be sure to enter Kate Spade New York. Use our branded calendar to track your daily acts of kindness and share with us using the #bekind21 #bekind #loveinspades

The world needs your kindness!
We partnered with Girls Who Code for the 6th summer in a row to host the Summer Immersion Program (SIP)! SIP is a 2-week virtual program that teaches girls—trans and cis—and non-binary students the computer science skills needed to impact their community while preparing for a tech career. Twenty one employee volunteers from the Kate Spade New York and Tapestry e-commerce, engineering and coding teams, as well as broader tech and digital teams came together to share advice, insights, and experiences working in the Fashion Tech and Digital Space with fifty rising junior and senior high school students in the program. The Kate Spade New York Foundation has proudly supported Girls Who Code since 2016. Together, we are helping to create a pipeline of future technologists in the U.S. Learn more about Girls Who Code and their commitment to closing the gender gap in technology here. #loveinspades #girlswhocode
