The Limbach Team providing HVAC upgrades to the Saint Joseph's University Hagan Arena, in the Casciato Basketball Practice Facility. A design assist project with Bruce Brooks, along with our trusted team partners, Thackray Crane Rental, Inc. and Air Concepts Inc. The Michael J. Hagan Arena serves as the home of the Saint Joseph’s men’s and women’s basketball programs. The Arena has seen its share of big games, including the women's team's upset of fifth-ranked Maryland in 2012. The men's team has also brought its Big 5 home games to campus; the first installment of the vaunted rivalry between Saint Joseph's and Villanova to be played on Hawk Hill was a 74-58 SJU victory at Hagan Arena in 2011. Hagan Arena has also served as the home of the Philadelphia Freedoms of World Team Tennis and various University events, including Commencement.

Last week, our Limbach Company New England office staff put together 100 go-bags, filled with essential toiletry items, for one of our amazing clients to distribute to those in need in our community! We are looking forward to working with this organization, which provides healthcare and other assistance to homeless individuals & families, again in the future! What an amazing opportunity to show the community that WE CARE!
Next up on our branch visits is our New England Team! Limbach's NE branch has been serving the Greater Boston area since 1960 and has helped build and maintain some of the city's most prominent healthcare, higher education, commercial, and laboratory facilities. While there, our team had the chance to check out the mechanical systems we are building for this new 600,000 sq. ft office and lab space for one of our multinational pharmaceutical clients.
Today is the day, Happy International Women in Engineering Day! Our engineer spotlight for today is the one and only Josie O’Brien, P. E. Josie serves as a Mechanical Engineer 2 and is responsible for collaborating with the team to develop turnkey & creative solutions for our client's complex facility issues. Growing up, Josie always loved science and math and credits her dad for getting her on the path to engineering. (He was a chemical engineer!) He taught her that engineering is really problem-solving with a mix of creativity and feels that her current role is a perfect balance of mathematics and creativity. Here is Josie's response when we asked her if she could describe an experience in her career that was particularly rewarding:
