Nearly 88 years young, Mirabella Seattle resident Dixie Jo Thompson Porter recently wowed fellow residents with stories from her reign as the 1956–57 Seafair Queen. Once described as “beauty and brains all in one royal package,” Dixie Jo shared memories of photo ops with Bing Crosby, writing newspaper columns, and navigating the whirlwind world of Seafair with wit and grace. Her passion for connecting with people is what drew her to the retirement field, and she loves engaging with residents—especially when it means joining their classes or sneaking into a Friday line dancing session! 💃 Originally from Seattle, Taylor spent six years in Japan teaching English before returning to her hometown to start a new chapter. When Taylor's not busy being the “glue” between departments, you can find her indulging in her love for sewing, creating stylish wide-leg pants and berets. 🧵✨ With a keen eye for vintage clothing, Taylor uses her passion for fashion to connect with others—adding a unique spark to our community. We’re so grateful to have her on our team!

We’re thrilled to welcome Elise Fuller to the MBS family as our new Health Services Administrator! Elise brings a wealth of experience from Texas, where she led a large skilled nursing facility in downtown Dallas. She officially joined us last week and is already making a positive impact across all levels of our health care teams. “Even since I was a child, I’ve been very passionate and compassionate about taking care of others,” Elise says. “It’s not like a job. It’s something that I feel is a part of me.” Known for her hands-on leadership and collaborative spirit, Elise is eager to connect with staff and residents alike. “I’ve been blown away by the facility, the staff, and the residents at MBS,” she says. “I can’t wait to hear all their life stories, all their experiences.” When she’s not at work, Elise enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, skiing, working out—and enjoying a cozy rainy day with her cat, Monty Jr. Please join us in giving Elise a warm MBS welcome! 💙
