On Saturday, May 13, 2023, Petro team members were excited to volunteer at the National Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, supporting the Island Harvest Foodbank to help nourish Long Island neighbors in need in Bethpage, NY. Petro was one of many featured sponsors of the event which had a goal to collect 1,000,000 pounds of food! On this day our volunteers and many others who attended, contributed to this goal by sorting hundreds of pounds of food items and placed them in bins after careful inspection for distribution throughout Long Island communities. Our volunteer team included, Elvia Cahill, Carol Cavallaro, Lauren Gonzalez, Donna Jackson, April Langevin, Farhens Lauriston, Megan Midura, Dawn Mihalek, Charlene Ramroop and Kim Wright Partnering with Feeding America, the largest charity working to end hunger in the United States, Island Harvest works hard every day to nourish Long Island’s future. Fueling a way forward to favorably impact climate change. Climate change is one of our biggest challenges and Petro Home Services is committed to being part of its solution. Since April is when we celebrate Earth Day, this month seemed an appropriate time to share some of the efforts that Petro Home Services is undertaking to mitigate climate change. Taking these important steps is better for us, our industry, our customers and most importantly, better for our planet.

Honoring Wendell Merritt, women’s basketball groundbreaker. It’s true that someone always must be the first to open a door to lead the way for everyone to follow and Wendell Merritt from our Petro Home Services equipment scheduling team based in GA, is definitely one of them. As the first African American female student-athlete at Auburn College, AL, Wendell was a groundbreaker not only in the college athletics team but in the world of women’s basketball. A humble pioneer, Wendell has inspired many other athletes over the years. We are delighted and proud to share this news story honoring Wendell at the link below. Petro team members from southeastern PA and southern NJ, joined Habitat for Humanity and other volunteers at an untraditional and fun build project – building Adirondack Chairs! The Habitat for Humanity Adirondack Chair build day takes place at their North Philadelphia warehouse, where our team and many others helped with assembling new Adirondack chairs that will be distributed to local organizations to help enrich the community. Chairs are also given to homeowners, to help brighten their homes and enjoy their outdoor spaces. Using the latest technologies, we’ve enhanced the My Account system, making it easier and more convenient to schedule delivery or service appointments, pay bills and manage everything about their account at the touch of a button or tap of a screen.
