Phoenix Children’s is proud to be part of the collaboration with Arizona State University and Zoom. We are leveraging the ASU Luminosity Lab to further advance our use of telehealth systems by enabling providers to conduct virtual visits with patients inside our hospital setting. This virtual experience is offered in addition to our in-person consultations. The ultimate goal: To drive continued enhancements in our patient families’ experience.

Phoenix Children’s is proud to serve as a founding partner and the official healthcare provider of Legacy Sports USA’s Bell Bank Park, the 320-acre sports and entertainment complex located in Mesa, Arizona. We held a ribbon cutting to inaugurate the opening of our onsite Sports Medicine and Urgent Care facility that provides high-quality, pediatric care for young athletes injured during play, as well as children and adolescents visiting the park or living in the East Valley.

Phoenix Children’s board-certified physical therapy (PT) team provides quality patient care across numerous pediatric specialties at locations throughout the Valley — from inpatient PT and rehabilitation to outpatient and sports PT. This is Phoenix Children’s Comprehensive Pediatric Spine Center in action. In this photo, Dr. Greg White (right), the center’s director, and Dr. Jamal McClendon (middle), the center’s associate director, are performing corrective surgery on a patient with severe scoliosis. One thing that makes our spine center unique is that we bring together neurosurgical and orthopedic disciplines with cutting-edge technology to diagnose and treat pediatric spine issues and deformities.

Our digital app has transformed how we serve our patient families and has set the bar for other health systems across the country. With on-demand booking, our patient families can easily schedule and reschedule appointments online across all 75+ of our specialties. While our mobile app has enabled us to deliver a whole new level of service for patients, especially those with complex medical needs, it has also significantly streamlined and optimized internal processes and operations for our health care team. This innovation would not have been possible without the expertise, insight and guidance of the Phoenix Children’s Medical Group providers and clinics.
