A special thanks for Michael White, our NTTC Driver of the Year finalist for attending this year's FFA National Convention in Indianapolis, IN. Mike attended the convention to work the Next Generation in Trucking booth with a fellow NTTC Driver of the Year finalist. The Next Generation in Trucking Association is a non-profit trade association who is engaging and training the next generation of trucking industry professionals by partnering with high schools, community/technical colleges and private schools to launch training programs around the United States. Meet Adena Smith, Senior Claims Analyst at QC. In 1997, Adena and her husband were over-the-road team drivers and during her time as a Professional Driver she loved it! They traveled through all 48 states and three Canadian provinces. In 2007, she started her role at QC in the Internal Audit department, where she performed both financial and operational audits. As a Senior Claim Analyst, some of her responsibilities are to provide reporting on claim activity and manage Origami. Adena's favorite memory so far at QC was being a part of Team Energy, a team that organized various events for the employees to participate in. Her most memorable event was the Charity Golf Scramble. Adena, thank you for all you do for QC!

Meet TaraAnn Goodney. Before joining QC, TaraAnn worked in the medical field as a nurse. However, she was no stranger to the trucking industry, since her husband was previously a driver. Currently, she is the Customer Service Representative for terminal 107 and loves it. "I have always been a people person. Now, I get to problem-solve and build relationships," TaraAnn shared. Her favorite memory so far working with QC has been flying out to Tampa for training and meeting fellow co-workers from different terminals across the United States.

Meet Ami Kelley. Ami started her career in trucking on the loading dock of a trucking company in Georgia. In 2010, she moved back to Florida and started at QC as a temp worker helping to update the commodities. A few months later, she was hired on as a regular employee with the Elog Compliance team within the Safety Department to help with QC's first ELD System. Ami was dedicated to teaching herself everything dealing with Hours of Service and driver logs. Now years later, everyone refers to her as the Elog Guru. Currently, she is the Manager of HOS Compliance. "I get a lot of calls on a daily basis from drivers asking for help with their logs - anything from needing help making an edit to understanding Hours of Service," Ami shared. She does her best to explain in a way that makes it easy for our Professional Drivers to understand. Usually, the call ends with a grateful "Thank you" from our Professional Driver. Some even call back periodically without an issue just to say hi and chat with Ami.

Currently, Jenna is the Director of Maintenance and has been with QC for six years. "I enjoy the people that I work with the most. Without my amazing team, co-workers and mentors I wouldn’t be where I am today," Jenna shared.

Meet Jasmine Battles AKA Jas. Jas began her career in trucking in 2018. She decided to give trucking a chance because she loves to visit different cities and sceneries. To her surprise, she enjoyed driving! Jas is a company driver for Terminal 164 in North Charleston, South Carolina. Her favorite memory so far is when she hauls her freight to the ports and sees the beautiful scenery.
