March 8th was International Women's Day. Here are some words of wisdom from one of our software engineers on diversifying the tech industry: “I think that rectifying the industry is a really great thing to do. It’s not just that it’s equal opportunity or moving toward equal opportunity, but it’s also that everybody uses technology. The people who dominate the work industry aren’t the only people consuming the services that they provide, so the more you know about your consumers the better you can tailor your product to them. I think that when it comes to technology it’s the same exact thing. If you know what your consumers are looking for then you can give it to them. And who better to give it to them, to design these kinds of programs, to build these kinds of programs, then the people who are using them. Diversifying the tech industry is all about getting the people who are actually using the programs to build them. They know what the people think like, what they’re looking for, and can build programs that are tailored to that.” #IWD2018
