Meet Dr. Marzieh Ardestani, a Senior Consultant on our biomechanical team. Dr. Ardestani currently performs biomedical and biomechanical analyses on cases involving medical device failure, hospital equipment malfunction, worker compensation claims, and accidental injuries from vehicle accidents or falling objects, as well as falls due to slipping/tripping. Dr. Ardestani’s background includes design and implementation of clinical research trials investigating medical device failure and sport injuries, as well as injuries to human musculoskeletal and nervous systems, such as spinal cord and brain injuries. She also has extensive experience in computer simulation, computational modeling, and numerical analyses of the human body to investigate joint contact mechanics, injury causation, and failure mechanism. Today, Rimkus recognizes Mark Webber, a Registered Consulting Arborist, Board Certified Master Arborist, and Certified Professional Horticulturist based in Columbus, Ohio. This year, Mark’s call-in radio show, Garden Talk, celebrated its 30th year on the air with Ohio-based station WHIO. Garden Talk began as a TV show and transitioned to radio, when, according to Mark, “nothing was digital and everything was taped on 8-tracks.” Since then, the educational gardening program has been broadcast locally in Dayton, Ohio, and internationally on I Heart Radio, reaching audiences around the world. Mark’s industry background makes him the perfect person to advise callers on best management practices for growing plants, controlling diseases and insects, and maintaining safe properties. He can advise on tree care, tree risk assessments, proper diagnosis regarding insects and pests, and working with qualified professionals.
