Field Office Assistant Mamie Causey spent many years of her professional life as a restaurateur and had no formal construction experience when she joined our team. Through the guidance of her mentors, she has not only grasped the various phases of a project but also built strong connections with her team members who care deeply about her success. “Senior Project Manager Ken Thomas is the best teacher I have ever had in my life,” said Mamie, pictured with Ken at a project site. “He has led me through every step of both construction and contracting/project management. He takes the time to work through every stage of our project [with me] and is explaining every phase along the way. Whether it be construction, contracts, invoicing, scheduling, and everything in between, he is always willing to teach me so I can learn and grow in the industry.” Senior Project Administrator Melissa Owens has also played a vital role in Mamie’s construction industry growth. “Throughout my first year, she has taught me so much about processes, software, and how to be the best at my job,” Mamie said. “She cares so much about Robins & Morton and the success of everyone that she comes in contact with. She always has such a positive outlook and can navigate me through a problem until a solution is found.” #NationalMentoringMonth #ThankAMentor
